On the most powerful liquid propellant engine

Abstract— The peculiarity of the creative work of V.P. Glushko, chief designer of the most powerful RD 170 liquid propellant engine (LPE) and the history of it are in report. The fact of a disagreement over the use of cryogenic or hypergolic fuel between Korolev and Glushko. The features of planning and de¬ve¬lop¬ment space activities, LPE are lighted up. Review of publications based on participants in these events and documents.
