Bibliometric and thematic analysis of the scientific heritage of M. Shevchenko (1909–1995) – Ukrainian scientist of telmatology

Abstract— The priority directions of scientific activity of the wetland scientist M. Shevchenko were defined by applying the method of bibliometric analysis. His scientific heritage includes the development of theoretical and technological basis of reclamation farming on drained lands which are based on established patterns of changes of water‐physical and agrochemical properties of peat bogs, parameters of water regime and structural reclamation, system of fertilizers, especially the cultivation of crops and the like. The results of research carried out personally by Dr. Agricultural Sciences, M. Shevchenko and under his leadership are generalized in the regulatory and methodological agronomic and ecological security of agricultural use of drained lands.
