Mykolaiv lighthouses: history of their creation and current condition

Abstract— In this article the author studies the key issues connected to the creation of Mykolaiv lighthouses. The originality of Mykolaiv lighthouses is also determined in the article. On the ground of the analysis of different sources, the author proves the importance of lighthouses built in Mykolaiv. The description of peculiarities of lighthouses’ construction and also peculiarities of their functioning is given. In her article the author also gives the description of the course of life and creative development of М. А. Belelubskyi, as the main design engineer of Mykolaiv lighthouses. Here, the role of inventing the armored concrete to create lighthouses of the innovative design for those times is described.
