Abstract In article on the basis of many written sources highlights the problems of aircraft engines of the 1950s – 1970s and their solution through cooperation of Zaporizhia aviation engine-building companies with the leading research institutions. Attention is focused on the research of the Institute of problems of strength (Kyiv), namely the activities of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR G. S. Pisarenko, as well as the research work of scientists of the Department “Dynamics and strength of machines”, Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (academician of the USSR A. P. Filippov; S. I. Bogomolov, E. G. Goloskokov, A. М. Zhuravleva and О. K. Sliva) and Kharkiv Aviation Institute (M. A. Freed, D. F. Simbirskiy, V. M. Ershov) related to the solution of problems of dynamic strength of aircraft gas turbines. Тhe results of the study were submitted to the Zaporizhia machine-building design Bureau “Progress”. The new archive materials are introduced into scientific circulation; its were unknown for the researches before.
